In my youth (about 12 or 13) I tried to build a Baird type scanning disc television sytem from Meccano. To the amazement of my father and elder brother I did get scan lines, noise and what I was sure were images. However an enthusiast has now managed to produce good images from the few gramophone records that were made from that original 30 line system of 1928-1934.
