- Sept 10th 2016 - St.Gabriel's Group 9.5 London Section AGM - followed by the screening on 9.5mm of the silent classic "The Cabinet Of Doctor Caligari" (Germany 1920), this copy has a special magnetic stripe musical sound track compiled by the late John Ferrari. It was an expressionist fiilm which created a great stir. To further the abstract effect, the designers painted the scenery as a weird distortion, similar to surrealist work. This macabre drama was directed by Robert Weine and stars Warner Krauss, Conrad Veidt and Lil Dagover among others. There will also be some sound titles to complete the programme. .

- October 1st 2016 - "Dark Journey" (GB1937). is an astounding spy adventure with a romantic involvement between two secret agents on opposite sides during World War 1. Directed by Victor Saville, it again starst Conrad Veidt and Vivian Leigh. Good support comes from Anthony Bushell, Cecil Parker, Joan Gardner, Austin Trevor and others. Supporting material will include "London's Country" a BTF production in colour from 1954. Screned for us by Graham Sinden and all on 16mm.

Meetings commence at 7.30pm at St. Gabriels Parish House, off Lupus Street, Pimlico, London, SW1V 3AA, UK not too far from Victoria train & coach stations and within a few minutes walk from Pimlico tube station. Further details from Malcolm Cutmore. Tel: 01278 459335
