Andy Bryant, carefree student at the Arizona University in Tucson, causes a chemistry class
accident which blinds fellow scholar Gregg Johnson. Andy reforms to help the victim through
examinations and, to support a friend threatened by debt collectors, sells his horse which
was to have been entered in a race. His father, who has made a $20,000 bet on the event,
retrieves the animal and Andy goes on to win the contest.

Notes: 1. Songs include "Nobody's Lost On The Lonesome Road" and "Ringing The New Year In"
(both written by I B Kornblum & L Wolf-Gilbert and performed by The Cass County Trio).

        2. The big race was filmed at the Rillito Park track in Tucson.
        3. Pathéscope made only nine prints of this film. The opening 35mm credit:
"Sol M Wurtzel Presents", has been replaced with "Pathéscope Presents".
Otherwise the 9.5mm print appears unchanged.

        4. After this movie, Penny Edwards became the leading lady in six Roy Rogers' westerns
when the usual heroine Dale Evans (alias Mrs Rogers) was pregnant. Dale approved
the casting as both women shared strong religious beliefs.
        5. Marcia Mae James had been a child star. When only six months old she appeared in
"Mannequin" (1926) and later was on screen with Shirley Temple in a couple of features.
Marcia was dominated by a persistant "stage-mother" (actress Freeda Jones), but,
like many others, her career slowed down as she grew older.
        6. Jimmy Lydon also appeared as James Lydon.
        7. Reviewed by Maurice Trace in the Group 9.5 magazine number 146 Summer 2011.
