Sebastian Spencer of the College of Psychical Research and Joe Harris, assessor for an insurance company,
investigate spooky goings on at Hilton Grange, an alleged haunted house. The owner's wife has been scared
by supernatural occurrences, a prize cow is struck by a strange illness and a valuable rug mysteriously burns ....


1. Gordon Harker (Harris) and Olga Lindo (Hilda) were in the stage play which was first produced at the
Vaudeville Theatre in London.

2. The film's production cost was £78,000.

3. Alfred Drayton suffered a heart attack during the shooting of the floor-show sequences at Twickenham
Studios. He was rushed to hospital and the shooting script altered to cover his absence. He returned to film
his final shots in the scene - lying on the ballroom floor.

4. A song "First Of Forever" sung by Marilyn Williams in the floor-show sequence at about 26mins in the complete film,
is cut from the 9.5mm release
