The above A.B. Pathe film was released by Pathéscope on 9.5mm optical sound as T.9738:-

Looking at contempory magazines, it seems 'Coronation Fever' had certainly begun to grip by January 1953, although the Coronation itself wasn't until Tuesday June 2nd! For home movie collectors, all the companies began to advertise that they would be filming the Coronation and supplying various versions of the event. I'll stick to our 9.5mm film gauge here, luckily Pathéscope had access to the Pathe News material filmed for the cinema. There were three 9.5mm silent releases - two 100 foot / 30 metre shorts - C.30646 "The Procession To The Abbey" and C. 30647 "The Coronation Ceremony" and a '1 reel' 300 foot / 100 metre full version SB.30645 "Coronation Day" which included the other two shorts. Then really quite a scoop at the time - the full Pathe News cinema 2 reeler was issued on 9.5mm sound within six days of the actual ceremony - T.9738 "The Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth"! Because of copyright, there is no way I can upload the Pathéscope material to YouTube, but it is downloadable from the Pathe News web-site. (see above)
Pathéscope added a few extra relevant titles like the 100 foot / 30 metre silent short C.30628 - "The Crown Jewels" and a '1 reel' optical sound short T.9707 - "Trooping The Colour". - These were also both sourced from Pathe News material. Sometime, by 1954 or maybe esrlier, Pathéscope also released a cinema type "Queen Trailer" on 9.5mm sound - about 50 foot / 15 metres long, it didn't seem to have a reference number - I guess it comes from the Pathe News 'Trooping The Colour' film.

PEAK FILMS
Peak Films offered the actual event in two 100 foot / 30 metre parts - "The Coronation" Pts 1 & 2 which were also available in colour versions for 8mm and 16mm. Peak also released one or two other associated 100 foot / 30 metre shorts - "Trooping The Colour"; "Changing Of The Guard"; "Coronation Naval Review" and "Coronation London" showing all the London decorations.

WALTON FILMS
Walton Films had a real trick up their sleeve for ninefivers! Boss James Beney had designed a perforator/slitter to produce 9.5mm film prints from their 16mm prints. This, although a rather wasteful operation, enabled Walton Films to release 9.5mm colour prints - and they really were excellent, being printed on Kodachrome stock!

Surpriseingly interest in the UK
Coronation was world wide. So in France, the large Film Office
company released a full '1 reel' and shorter 4 minute 'home
movie' film versions of the Coronation - these included 9.5mm
editions - I certainly have a copy of the 100 foot / 30 metre
release in my collection. Sadly only black & white in 9.5mm.
I now just need to find the thing!

I remember Dawn Trust as a 16mm film library (think they also offered various prints for sale), mostly religious type subjects. Obviously they filmed and released a film or films of the UK 1953 Coronation; we can see from the film box above that the event was offered in four 100 foot / 30 metre parts - "The Queen In Her Procession" ; "Triumphant Procession"; "God Save The Queen" and "Coronation Splendours". I guess a full 400 foot /120 metre 16mm film was also available - "Coronation Regina" and all in lovely (no fade!) Kodachrome and including a sound version!
